Otho Brunfels

1530 Brunfels mentions paeonies in his Herbarum Vivae Eicones, quoting from Dioscorides and Pliny, but appears to have written nothing from his own observation. Bock in his herbal, New Kreutter Buck, seems to have observed for himself the plants he deals with but says nothing about their native country.
