PEACH GLOW (Franklin) - Double - White - Midseason. White with a glow of peaches. Red markings List in Bulletin 91.

PEARL - Probably LA PERLE (Crousse, 1886) - Midseason.

PEARLED ROSE (Pleas) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

PEARL HARBOR (Franklin, 1943) - Double - White. List in Bulletin 93.

PEDRO (Richmond, 1951) - Single - Red - Midseason. Tall. The flowers, of medium size, are carried on tall, strong stems, making a compact plant. The foliage is dark green and the variety is floriferous. The straight stems hold the flowers erect. Bulletin 128.

PEEP-O-DAY (Blackclock) - Single - Pinkish White - Early. Pinkish white petals with lovely base of golden stamens. List in Bulletin 93.

PEERLESS (Franklin) - Double - White - Very late. Medium tall. One of our very late whites. Strong stems. Rose type, waxy white blooms. Foliage low. Catalogs and list in Bulletin 91.

PEGGY (Auten, 1931) - Double - Pink. Medium height. Bright deep rose pink bomb, good stems. Bulletin 47.

PEG OF MY HEART (Richmond, 1949) - Double - Deep Cerise Pink - Early. 3' high. The large rose type blooms are gracefully supported on strong stems. The large, rounded petals are loosely arranged without crowding, giving a full flower effect. The color is bright and the foliage is medium green. It is free blooming and a good grower. It is equally good as a cut flower or in the garden. Bulletin 128.

PEG O' MY HEART (Kelway) - Double - Pink - Midseason.

PELHAM (Auten, 1935) - Double - White - Late Midseason. Tall. Rose fragrant. White double, flushed flesh and pale yellow. Narrow Jappy filamental petals in center. Stiff stems. Very distinct. Bulletin 61.

PENNACOOK (Guppy, 1935) - Jap. - Dark Red - Bulletin 60.

PEORIA (Auten, 1931) - Single - Red. Dwarf. Very brilliant, large, medium red single. Stiff stems. Extra fine. Bulletin 47.

PEPITE d'OR (Murawska, 1944) - Single - White - Early or Midseason. Tall. Color blush, fading to ivory white. Very robust grower, cupped, center mass of pollen bearing stamens. Bulletin 96. Letter from Murawska, 1955.

PEPPERMINT (Coper-Wild & Son,  ) - Double - Pink.

PERE MARQUETTE (Auten, 1933) - Single - Red - Early - DISCARDED. Medium height. Rich dark red. Fine. Bulletin 54 - List in 91.

PERFECTION - See RICHARDSON'S PERFECTION. 1930 Wild catalog: Pale, shell-pink, very delicate; fragrant; rose type. Midseason.

PERFECT JOY (Kelway, 1929) - Double - Pink. Double bright coral pink turning nearly white. Every petal covered with flecks of pink. Bulletin 38.

PERFECT PICTURE (Kelway, 1928) - Semi-Double - Pink. Pure pink. Continues to flower until very late. Bulletin 38.

PERLE BLANCHE (Dessert, 1913) - Single - White - Early Midseason. Tall. Not especially fragrant. Large. Broad, rounded, white petals enclosing a large mass of golden yellow stamens, free flowering, erect stems. Good foliage. M.

PERLE ROSE (Dessert, 1913) - Single - China Rose - Midseason.

PERRETTE (Dessert, 1921) - Double - Pink - Late Midseason. Medium height. Delicate fragrance. Large. Outer petals large and cupped, reflexing as the flower opens, faint pink paling to pure white in the center, with prominent crimson flecks midway; the whole flower has a slight creamy pink suffusion in the depths of the petals; fairly floriferous, strong stems. Good foliage. M.

PETAGRA (Franklin, 1920) - Double - Red. Fragrant. Very large. Light red with crown petals in center surrounded by golden anthers; strong grower. M.

PETER BRAND (Holland introduction, prior to 1937) - Double - Red - Late. Large full double, new lustrous ruby red, sparkling petals of fine texture, best red at many European shows. Bulletin 65, page 20. Smirnow's 1955 catalog.

PETER OLESON (Oleson, 1924) - Single - Red - Midseason. Color bright red. One row of petals. Many yellow stamens in center. Good cut flower. Stiff, strong stems holding flower erect. M. Bulletin 29.

PETER PAN (Auten) - Now ALSTEAD. Bulletin 80 - List 91.

PETER PAN (Hollis, 1907) - Double - Pink - Late. Average height. Moderate rose fragrance. Large. Irregularly cupped flowers of bright old-rose opening flat, showing a fluffy center of yellow stamens mixed with long, shaggy petals, a few of which are edged red; moderate rose fragrance. Floriferous, stiff, wiry stems. Foliage small and glossy. M.

PHILIP G. CORLISS (Claar, 1955) - Single - Red - Early - Hybrid. About 3' high. Imposing erect carriage. Vivid shining scarlet red. Albiflora x lobata. Bulletin 140.

PFEIFFER'S PRIDE (Pfeiffer, 1932) - Double - Pink - Late. Medium height. Pleasing fragrance. Double rose type of fine form; outer petals of a peculiar shade of light pink, shading deeper in the center, with a ring of yellow stamens surrounding a tuft of deeper pink, blotched with crimson. Strong, stiff stems; pleasing fragrance. A really fine new peony. Wild's 1954 catalog. List in Bulletin 91.

PFEIFFER'S RED TRIUMPH (Pfeiffer, 1937) - Double - Red - Early. Tall. Fragrant. Double rose type, deep crimson. Buds large, very dark, like Philippe Rivoire before opening. Strong, stiff stems. As early as Richard Carvel. Wild's 1955 catalog. List in Bulletin 91.
