COMANCHE (Bigger April 1957) Jap., medium red-rose stamenodes finely cut, yellow with some guard petal color.  Three foot plant, midseason. Bulletin #178 September 1965.

Sevald:

COMANCHE (Bigger, 1965) Japanese, midseason. Rose red guard petals, and staminodes of red and yellow. A good plant that always produces nice flowers

ricecreek:

COMANCHE:Vivid magenta guard petals and amber staminodes make this an outstanding Japanese lactiflora. Dark green leaves on a vigorous plant. 36" stems. Late Midseason.

Comanche (Bigger, 1957) Magenta, Japanese, midseason, 36" tall, lactiflora cultivar. A multi-colored center of cream and magenta staminodes surrounded by magenta guard petals. Very striking!

Svetlana Poperechnaya 2006:

 A large dark rose colored Jap with a center of yellow staminodes that are edged with rose. Three foot tall plant. An excellent variety.
