Double peony An unusual shade of violet that shimmers blue in certain light

Edward J Westhead

Kelways in Britain are offering a lactiflora peony called Bluebird. Their website (www.kelways.co.uk)describes the flower as "Double peony: An unusual shade of violet that shimmers blue in certain light" Has anybody any experience of this plant? The photo on the website does not show any hint of violet in the colour. But, of course, photos can (and often do) give a false impression. Edward J Westhead
