Gong Deng. Crown form. Flowers 16cm x 5cm, purplish red (63-A); the outer petals 2- whorled, large, flat, dark purple basal blotches, the inner petals very small, twisted, crowded, anthers remained at the apex, a few stamens grow among the petals; pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks slender, slightly pliable, flowers lateral. Flowering late midseason. Plant tall, spreading. Branches fairly slender, curved. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, sparse; leaflets ovate, apex obtuse, slightly pendulous. Flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1967. |
