Hong Yu Lou. Crown proliferate form. Flowers 16cm x 9cm, light red (52-C). The outer petals 6-whorled, broad and large, entire and regular; the inner petals long, rugose, some petaloid filaments bearing anthers are present; pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured in the lower flower. Petals relatively few, slightly large; stamens short; pistils short in the upper flower. Stalks fairly short, flowers lateral. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, spreading. Branches stout, slightly pliable. Leaves long, medium- sized, slightly soft; leaflets ovate or broadly ovate, obtuse at the apex, pendulous, the margins wavy; terminal leaflets deeply trilobed with long petiolules. Growth vigorous, flowers many; tolerant of spring frost and diseases. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1983. |
