Tao Yuan Xian Jing. Chrysanthemum form. Flowers 20cm x 4cm, deep pinkish red (52-D); petals 8-10-whorled, stiff, gradually shorter from outer to the inner petals, arranged regularly, layered conspi-cuously; the inner petals often cut, light in colour and pinkish white at the base; stamens normal; pistils normal; slightly petaloid, floral discs purple. Stalks short, straight, flowers lateral, slightly hidden among leaves. Flowering early. Plant medium height, partially spreading. Branches stout. Leaves long, medium-sized, sparse, soft; leaflets broadly-ovate, acute at the apex, the margins slightly curved. Growth vigorous, flowers many; tolerant of adverse conditions. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1986. |
