'Nishiki-no-shitone' (Gold Brocade Cushion) (Jap. bef. 1910)

(Japanese tree peony - Red Flowering group) Red. the same deep colour as Taiyo. Outer 2-5 petals are rimmed with creamy-white. White vertical stripes appear occasionally on outer 1 -3 petals. Small size. Midseason. Dwarf growth.
