Paeonia 'Tria'

type: [tree peony] – [lutea hybrid]

origination:

Daphnis (48)

TRIA - Nassos Daphnis (D-3), pedigree unknown - third cross- three flowers on each stem. Clear yellow petals unfold in sequence, opening up into blossoms as crispy ruffled as crushed silk. Bulletin #253.

'Tria' (Daphnis).

Hybrid
Strong crepe textured crisp clean yellow single flowers, opening in threes held well above the delicate foliage. The earliest of the hybrids to bloom and also of the longest blooming periods of any other Tree Peony.

TRIA Tria is so named because it frequently has three flowers on the one stem. It is the earliest to flower, and smothers itself with apricot, fading to lemon blooms. The bush is taller of stature, and happy to sit back in the border.

TRIA This early flowerer simply smothers itself with blooms that open soft apricot and then fade to lemon.
