Paeonia 'Lord Cavin'

type: [herbaceous peony] – [species cultivar] – [lactiflora]

LORD CAVIN (Information from the Klehm Nursery) Found by Charles Klehm in the late 1920's and first exhibited in the Worlds Fair of 1933. Lactiflora species, grayish cream to grayish white, bomb shape flowers with irregular maroon and red streaking. Quite an unusual and more of a novelty than a thing of beauty. Named after Lord Cavin, a Military Official; not to be confused with LORD CAVAN (Kelway)—single, cherry rose, mid-season; an English Lord.

LORD CAVIN (Klehm) Most unusual creamy white double accented with striking red candy stripes throughout bloom. The amount of red will vary from year to year. Dark green foliage. Midseason. Height 30 inches.
