Da Ban Hong. Lotus form, sometimes chrysanthemum form occurs. Flowers 22cm x 5cm, deep purplish red (61-C); petals 4- 6-whorled, entire, large, flat, apex toothed, thick, stiff, dark purple basal blotches; stamens occasionally petaloid; pistils 11, floral discs pale purplish red. Stalks fairly long, stiff, flowers lateral. Flowering midseason. Plant medium height, partially spreading. Branches stout. Leaves long, medium-sized, crowded; leaflets long ovate or broadly lanceolate, acuminate at the apex, pendulous, the margins wavy and slightly curved upwards. Growth medium, flowers many. Bred by Zhaolou Peony Garden, Heze in 1979. |
