Paeonia 'Zi yan pi shuang'

Wangcheng Park, Luoyang in 1969.

Zi Yan Pi Shuang . Crown form. Flowers 14cm x 9cm, faintly pinkish purple (68-B), the margins pinkish white; the outer petals 3-whorled, entire and regular, the inner petals small, arranged closely, pistils developed, petaloid, greenish coloured. Stalks relatively straight, flowers upright. Flowering midseason. Plant tall, erect. Branches stout. Leaves orbicular, medium-sized, thick; leaflets ovate, with a few and shallow lobes on the margins, suffused with purplish red. Growth vigorous, flowers many. Bred by Wangcheng Park, Luoyang in 1969.
