Paeonia 'Nova II'

type: [herbaceous peony] – [herbaceous hybrid]

Nova II* (Saunders 1950) VE.  Single; creamy yellow flowers open with subtle pink tints, very harmonious against distinctive cupped leaflets of soft yellow-green.  Short, but bold texture, suitable for small spaces; sturdy, dependable grower.  The .II. our addition to the name, separates it from the other Nova clones.these another instance in which Saunders lumped several similarly bred clones together under one name.  Possibly the best Nova performer in the garden, but is not a breeder.
