(Songsparrow): Flower type: Peony—Single, Size: 32, Bloom time: Early, Hybridizer: Saunders, A tall single hybrid with huge golden center. The palest flesh-pink color. Quite outstanding.

Horizon (Saunders, 1943) Flesh-pink, single, very early, 36" tall, hybrid. Striking very early flower of single flesh-pink petals topped with very long spidery golden stamens. Lovely in oriental arrangements.

Fragrance: Faint

Side Buds: Occasional

Comments: Horizon is a subtle peony and is an excellent addition to any traditional perennial border. The golden center is large and the pink tipped carpels attractive. The flowers are just slightly fragrant.
